When You Are Faced With a Debilitating Vehicle Injury

What the future holds for second DUI offenders and their license in CA
Saturday, June 5, 2010 by Matthew J. Ruff
Last year the california legislature enacted the assembly bill that would allow a second time DUI offender to get a restricted license after only a 90 day suspension, this marks a huge departure from the normal suspension that is one year according to a Seal Beach DUI Attorney . The new law effectively reduces the period of mandatory suspension on a second DUI from two years to 90 days and the DMV will have to give the CDL back or face a violation of the law. But how does the suspension relate to the APS order that may have also been imposed? That is the question many DUI lawyers are asking but answers are not forthcoming.

The new law goes into effect in July and I guess we DUI lawyers will have to wait until then to see how the law will be laid out. Your comments about the DUI law will be appreciated, both good and bad. Lastly, many have asked whether people that refused a test would also be eligible for the reduced suspension, again, we will need to wait until July to see how the DUI gods will look down on us.
